Anyone wishing to address the Board on matters not appearing on the agenda may do so now.  Please limit comments to a maximum of three (3) minutes. The public may comment on any other matter listed on the agenda at the time the matter is being considered by the Board. For information about submitting public comments in writing in advance of the meeting, please see the Meeting Information section of this agenda.

These matters include routine financial and administrative actions, which are usually approved by a single majority vote. Individual items may be removed from consent for discussion and action.

Authorize the General Manager to execute a public works construction contract with Della Mora Heating Sheetmetal and Air Conditioning, Inc. of Marina, CA (#696294) to remove the existing gas HVAC equipment in the Administration Building and the Maintenance Shop, replacing it with new all electric equipment for the not-to-exceed amount of $275,000 (includes ~10% contingency) and approve a construction contract with Collins Electrical Company Inc. of Stockton, CA (#115427) to complete necessary electrical work in order to connect all new equipment installed for the not-to-exceed amount of $30,000 (includes ~10% contingency).

  • Logs & stumps - $112/ton and $50 minimum charge to match the problem waste rate
  • Fumigation plastics - $112/ton to match the problem waste rate
  • Burned material - $77/ton to match the solid waste basic rate
  • Tires - Adding back one tire size category, “tires less than 42,” at $5 ea. (two categories were inadvertently removed, which could lead to increased illegal dumping)
  • Logs and stumps - Removing +$50 fee to logs and stumps (inadvertently included in the public hearing notice, but not past practice)
  • Oversized waste - $50 minimum charge to match problem waste minimum charge
  • Mattress descriptions - Update description to match current practice of 10 or fewer mattresses vs.11 or more (public hearing notice mentions residential vs. commercial)
  • Recommended Motion:

In an effort to ensure the virtual process closely follows our normal process, public comment will not be accepted in writing during the meeting.  During the Meeting via Oral Comments: When the Chair calls for public comment, attendees can queue to speak with the “Raise Hand” feature. On the Zoom application, click the “Raise Hand” button. On the phone, press *9. The Board Clerk will call speaker names and unmute speaker mics. You will have 3 minutes to provide your comments.
